For the Kids of Ethiopia

This video is the combined thought and process of my 11 year old son, Ian, and his acknowledgement of his part in this mission trip.

He was devestated that he was unable to come with me on this trip, and had  a very heavy heart after he learnt the situation into which I was walking.

I told him that he was helping in the sacrifice he is making to be without his mum for 2 months, and that was indeed a selfless act, but he wanted to do more.

This is his contribution, directly from his heart.

Special Guest stars..... Lexie Smith, and twins, Frazer and Charlie Smith!

If you take your turn, please proudly post your action in the comments.

The Meaning of Adonai

The Meaning of Adonai

Being a new and very enquisitive Christian, I did what all Tech Geeks do, and I googled everything I wanted to ask.....but didnt.  When I googled the various titles or names that God has, I particularly love Adonai, which so beautifully drips from the tounge like honey.  On this website, adonaiproductions.org, it was so beautifully explained in its meaning, and I quote:

"The worshiper of today has to continually grow in Knowledge and Understanding of God. One way that he gain a deeper understanding of the God we worship is by knowing the meaning of His various titles or names. The title most frequently used in the Old Testament is Adonai.

Adon means, “steward administrator, master, or Lord.” The addition of ai to adon intensifies or elevates its meaning, changing it to mean “the ultimate Lord, the Supreme Lord, or Lord of all.” The title Adonai, therefore, emphasizes the sovereignty of God, the Lordship of God. The meaning of Adonai in the Hebrew language, God is Lord, clearly defines our role as servants of our Lord, the God with outright ownership of our life and all things in Heaven and Earth. This defines our role as servants to our Adonai.

Our service to the Lord is a complete surrender to the will of God our Father. God will never ask us to do anything we cannot accomplish. Because He is a kind and loving master; He equips us with all we need to succeed in the tasks He requires of us as we read in Ephesians 4:1-16. Clearly, it is God as our master that calls us to service and through this scripture of Ephesians that we see that He has given us the tools we need to fulfill our service to Him. Through our service, we draw ever closer to Him, our Lord and Master who is our exceeding great reward."

Therefore as I embark on my walk with Christ, I begin, humbly here with you all, at the leadup to my Mission Trip to Ethiopia, with Blessing the Chrildren International which is a non-profit organization making a difference in the lives of children. Their primary focus is the ministry to orphans and widows in Ethiopia, Africa, called the Adana Children Center.

On New Years Eve, I will fly out and join the Adana Children Center to help do Gods work....    Praise Adonai, let me become another servant of the Lord!
